Inventor Randy Cohen of San Francisco presented a plan through which he will transfer your brain into the computer…

He hopes to be able to replicate the human brain as a mechanical system. Cohen says that the key is in the brain mapping and reduction of its activities on calculations, and then translating those calculations in code. That way, people could live forever, Cohen believes.

It should enable SIM Technology (Substrate – independent Mind), or “mind independent of substrate.” It is not artificial intelligence, but human mind transferred into a computer.

Neurologists are 99.9% sure that the brain is a mechanism, says Cohen, and if we can interpret how it works, maybe we can make a replacement for it.

He believes that with the help of this system we could inhabit other planets, even virtual. Cohen, even started an organization called Carboncopies, working on technical and ethical issues associated with this project.

The functions of the brain originally exist in the neurobiological mechanisms in our brain. If you apply the same features on another operational base, in the framework of the given parameters and operations, in a way that will produce the same results as the brain, the mind would become independent of the substrate.

The human brain is composed of 85 independent billion neurons each of which is associated with more than 10,000 through axons and dendrites. The signals that pass through nerve cells carry information and allow the brain to form associations and to execute commands.

On the same pattern, in the opinion of many experts, depends our memory, emotion, personality, and even consciousness.
